Overview

A growing biotechnology organization is looking to bring on a Senior Accountant. This role will focus on core accounting operations, monthly close, and audit support. The team is looking for a hands-on, dependable professional who can step in quickly, take ownership of the work, and collaborate closely with the Controller and broader accounting team. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day accounting process and thrives in a collaborative, in-office environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and execute the monthly close process, including timely preparation of journal entries
  • Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate general ledger activity across multiple entities, including international subsidiaries
  • Partner closely with the Controller and accounting team to ensure accurate reporting
  • Review financial data for accuracy and completeness
  • Support process improvements and documentation as needed

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
  • 3-7+ years of general ledger accounting experience
  • Strong experience with monthly close and account reconciliations
  • NetSuite experience strongly preferred
  • Exposure to multi-entity and international accounting (Spain and Brazil) a plus
  • Life sciences industry experience helpful but not required
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently
  • Comfortable working onsite in a collaborative team environment
